The Coromandel Skirt takes inspiration from traditional checkered patterns of kain pelikat which originated from Pulicat, India and marries it with a modern-retro box pleat patterned skirt. It is mid century modern chic while providing movement and breathability, perfect for our climate.
Named to pay homage to the Southeastern coast of India, Cholamandalam which played an important role as the port for exporting Indian fabrics to the world. It was later misspelled by European traders and then known as Coromandel.
The box pleat skirt comes with a elasticated waist band on its side and dual pockets. It can be paired with the matching kebaya kutubaru or your favourite T-shirt for everyday wear.
